In this episode we talk about the state of affairs in India after the First World War. Things are pretty grim. And all of India’s hopes of freedom and self-government are dashed. But the nationalist movement is more unified. So all is not lost. Sigh.

Very well narrated! One should not forget the fact that the budget of 1916-17 introduced the ‘taxation programme’ that ensured ‘His Majesty’s Government’ a special capital contribution of 100 million (which is much more than her annual revenue), towards the expenses of war!
