I lived in Mumbai for a year, and returned to bangalore two months ago. As i worked at PCP, I walked over to the Sportsbar at Phoenix every W'day/Friday/Saturday.By myself i have had plenty of beer and watched many a game. Suresh and Lawrence, couple of the attendents there, who are from mangalore, almost adopted me, and ensured that I got seating no matter how crowded it got. That place kept me going in that city. I can well imagine how the place must have been during the match. Lucky you.

Dont even get me started on the subject of hindi lyrics. Did some 'independent research' on a few sites hosting english translations of hindi lyrics & found this:
1. From 1942 a love story
Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho
Don't say anything, don't say anything at all

(Kitne gehre halke shyaam ke rang hai chhalke
How many deep and gentle colors of the evening have spread
Parvat se yun utre baadal jaise aanchal dhalke) - 2
From the mountains rise the clouds like a sari's hem...

ahem ahem

2. Some vague movie called aap mujhe ache lagne lage
--MALE--
(Tum to saagar jaisi lag rahi ho
You seem like the ocean
Mere dil mein pyaas hai) - 2
In my heart is thirst

--FEMALE--
Kya pyaas hai, ehsaas hai
What thirst is there, what feeling
Khulke yeh batlaaiye
Openly tell me this
Hum to bahut naadaan hai
I am very naive
Kuch aap samjhaaiye
You explain a little

bas - abandoning search for tonight but assure you, there is enuff out there to keep one entertained for hours
