I remember when I had gone to our family doctor for one of those mandatory typhoid injections specified in my IIML admit letter. The doctor, in line with the standard opinion, that UP& Bihar are the armpits of India, said<br /><br />"Arrerere, you used to be such an intelligent kid. Why do you have to go to U.P. to study?"<br /><br />I said "It is IIM, Lucknow."<br /><br />He says "yes, yes, I know all those U.P. colleges. You can buy a degree there for a few hundred bucks.
